From Coniston village the track climbs by the old copper mine workings and past Low Water to the summit of the Old Man of Coniston at 803 m. Out and back it is about 8 km, and the top gives views across Coniston Water and the southern Lakes to Morecambe Bay.

Old Man of Coniston (Lake District, England) is an out-and-back route, 4 km each way: 8 km as drawn, with 697 m of climbing to the turning point. This is the direct route past Miners' Bridge, about 4 km each way. The longer 10 km figure is the Low Water variant.

A route poster turns a day out into something to hang. The terrain styles show the ground the route crosses, and you can add the date, who you went with and your own line of text.

Questions

What sizes can I get?

A3 (29.7 x 42 cm) is £24.99 and A2 (42 x 59.4 cm) is £29.99. Both are printed in the UK on archival paper, and you see the poster before you pay.

How long does delivery take?

Delivery in the UK is free and takes 3 to 7 working days after you order. Every poster is made to order.

Can I use my own GPX file instead?

Yes. On the design page you can upload a GPX file from Strava, Garmin, Komoot or similar. It is read in your browser and the file itself is never uploaded, and your poster then uses your own route.

How was this route drawn?

Route traced from OpenStreetMap, with elevation from public terrain data. This is the direct route past Miners' Bridge, about 4 km each way. The longer 10 km figure is the Low Water variant. If you walked a different version, upload your own GPX file.

Can I change the words on the poster?

Yes. The title, the extra line, the place, the date and which stats show are all editable before you order.
